Some of the best dog-friendly places and activities include:

  1. Griffith Park - Griffith Park is one of the largest municipal parks in North America and is the largest historic landmark in the City of Los Angeles! Whether you are looking for a place to picnic or ready to go on a hike, this large park offers the best of both worlds. If you were hoping to see the view from The Observatory, you can! While dogs are not allowed inside the building, you can take the stairs wrapping outside the building and once you get to the top, you can let the view sink in. It’s also a great photo opportunity, so make sure you bring a tripod.
  2. Venice Beach - Had a rough day and you’re ready to unwind with your furry friend? Take a stroll down the Venice beach with your dog! You can also let them run off-leash in the designated off-leash areas, this is great if they have the zoomies. If you are hungry, hit up the local restaurants and cafes. There are plenty of options to pick from!
  3. Runyon Canyon Park - LA has so many hikes to offer and Runyon Canyon Park holds three of them. These popular trails are perfect for letting your dog get some exercise and explore the natural scenery.

Whether you're looking to hike or stroll along the beach, there is something for every pup and their owner.

The best thing about LA is that there is always something to do, whether it be hiking, swimming or exploring the city! LA is known for their beaches, here are three of our favorite local dog beaches:

  1. Venice Beach - This is a classic, it’s ideal for letting your dog run off-leash and setting up a  towel so you can lay down and soak in the sun.
  2. Manhattan Beach: If you're looking for a beach that's both dog-friendly and beautiful, Manhattan Beach is worth checking out. Not only are dogs allowed on the sand year-round, but there's plenty of space to run around. A huge plus is that the water here is usually calm, making it a good option for swimming.
  3. Rosie's Dog Beach  - Just a little south of LA is Rosie’s Dog beach, one of the most popular dog beaches! Be prepared to make some friends, because 9 out of 10 times, you’ll be approached by the sweetest dogs and their awesome owners. If your dog loves to play fetch or run off-leash, then this is the perfect beach for them. Let your pup get out there and have some fun.
