There are currently eight dog beaches in Los Angeles County. Dogs on leashes are allowed on all public beaches in Los Angeles County, except for the following three areas:
within 50 yards of children's play equipment
within 200 yards of a public restroom or shower
on any beach where signs prohibit dogs
